it is yl banquet week (ahhhhh) and each time i get in the car God has used this song to bring my heart back to the place of remembering why i am so excited to have a banquet and share with the community (which is one of the wealthiest communities in the united states) what yl is and what God is doing and how we would love for people to be a part of it. and who wouldnt want to be a part of what God is doing in the lives of hs and ms kids who dont know Jesus :)

this quote sums up my heart in many moments in life. i have a favorite photography BLOG but it makes me think that this moment is not perfect. that what is captured in these photographs is a life that is more perfect than mine right now. it makes me think that if i just had "this" or looked like "that" then things would all fall into place in my heart and life would be completely full of perfect moments and zero less than perfect moments. but, if that were the case then there would be no need for Jesus. i would be ok on my own in life. we would not live in a fallen world, we would live in paradise here on earth. thank you Jesus for making a way for us to live in paradise one day. and, that you give me a light in the dark places of my heart that desire more than this present moment.

i so wish this was real life because they are the cutest.

so i am entering a new decade of age in a mere 1 hour and 25 minutes. am i excited about this monumental change? not so much. but someone this weekend thought i was turning the very young age of 22 this weekend and that made me feel better about what will inevitably occur on october 7th.

here are a few of the interesting events that happened in the wonderful year of my birth (1979) you can calculate from that how old i am turning.

i am sitting in the charlotte airport heading to boston to see my mother, brother, and sister-in-law. lucky me! i am so excited to also see the leaves, fall weather, harvard, historical hot spots, and the atlantic!
