sand and surf.

a couple weekends ago i went to galveston, tx with some friends. since moving to dallas and even before i got to the lone star state people told me how terrible the texas beaches were. and, i am here to tell you that i didnt think it was that bad. in fact i am kicking myself because this little treasure has been only 4-5 hours away from me for the past 3 years. i cant wait to go back, hopefully very soon! there is nothing better in the summertime than sinking my toes in the sand with a beach read, listening to the embers, and catching a few good waves on a boogie board.

if i were having a cinco de mayo party today this is what i would serve and how i would decorate. maybe next year. so, tonight i will feast on guacamole, chips, fajita meat, and of course a margarita with friends from my favorite texas mexican joint CHUYS. i hope you are getting chip faced tonight! (get it, chip faced!)

bicycles are so cute. and practical. especially when they have a basket on the front to carry cantaloupe, wine, guacamole, kashi bars, and cake.

a friend of mine from adpi at tennessee, liz, posted these pictures of a her visit to the california poppy reserve on her facebook. i couldnt resist sharing them on here because they are so breathtakingly gorgeous. she also very cleverly stated that these beautiful poppies are proof that God is a vols fan. i could not agree more.

more and more i just love creating events. it is such a great mix of being with people and design. maybe one day someone will see how much i love it and give me a job that pays the bills and allows me to travel to the beach a few times a year.
